Eliminating Paper Bills can make a big difference
According the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) the average household could save 24 Square feet of forest every year by switching to electronic billing.
The EPA study found that the typical house hold received around 19 bills and statements every month, and payed seven of them with paper. By switching all of this to electronic statements and payments, one could save:
4.5 Gallons of fuel, 63 Gallons of Wastewater, and 24 feet of deforestation, every year. This just goes to show that one person doing a little thing can make a big difference.
