101 Dalmatians

This movie will always be in style. When it was first released in 1961 it was considered the most modern Disney film of all. Now, 47 years later as Disney releases in on DVD and Blue Ray platinum edition, its style and story still stand out.

The characters in this story are vivid and engaging. Anita and Roger are such a fun and flirtatious young couple. Then there's Pongo and Perdita, the young Dalmatian couple who refer to Anita and Roger as their "pets", and Nanny, their live in house keeper who Pongo thinks is almost canine at times. The puppies are funny and adorable, and I don't think there was ever a more sinister, skinny, or smokier villain than Cruela De Vil. She embodies everything evil, and yet she's kinda cool in a really scary way.

The story tells how Pongo and Perdita journey to save their family, after Cruela's henchman steel their puppies to use for making fur coats. The help of the entire animal community is just as mesmerizing today as it was when it first came out. The "Twilight Bark" is a sensational scene, and all the animals Pongo and Perdita meet along the way add something special to the story.

The music throughout the film is catchy and memorable. The story keeps you captivated until the very end, and you will most certainly be in a good mood as the credits start rolling.
Watch it with your dog. I did and I swear she enjoyed it too!
